Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all cruise holidays and general charter of any vessel or tender operated by The Great Escape Charter Company unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by all parties. No agent or representative has any authority to vary or omit any part or all of these conditions.

Reserve Your Place

You can make your reservation by calling, faxing or emailing our reservation team in Broome. We will hold a tentative reservation for you for 21 days pending receipt of a 20% non-refundable deposit and completed Reservation Request Form. The payment of deposit secures your place and the signed reservation form is acknowledgement that you have read, understood and agree to the booking conditions available with The Great Escape Charter Company. We will confirm your reservation to you in writing on receipt of your deposit payment.

Cancellation

As we must make firm reservations for each guest, it is necessary for us to strictly enforce our cancellation policies. If you cancel a reservation anytime prior to departure of your confirmed Escape, the following penalties will apply. Please note deposits are non-refundable.

24 weeks or more             Loss of deposit
8-24 weeks                   50% of total costs
Less than 8 weeks     100% of total costs

All cancellations must be advised to us in writing. Please note we strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance that will cover you against these penalties in the event of having to cancel your Escape due to unforeseen circumstances. We would be happy to assist you with this.

Travelling Alone

Five of our seven Stateroom aboard MV Great Escape can be configured as a twin or a double. For those single travellers requiring twin share, we will endeavour to match you with a same sex travelling companion. However, as the vast majority of our single travellers prefer their own single accommodation, a single supplement fee will be charged. The fee is the price of a twin share cabin rate less 20%, and if we are able to provide a companion for you to share with, the supplement will be refunded.

Changes to Itinerary

The Kimberley is a rugged region subject to 12 metre tides.
No two Kimberley Adventures are ever exactly the same. Whilst your adventure will be very similar to the itinerary provided, Mother Nature will affect the itinerary.

We will plan each day according to the tides and weather thus often rearrange plans to accommodate these factors to give you best cruise experience. Your Captain will discuss the next day’s activities and adventures each evening; this is your opportunity to further customise the itinerary to suit you.

Personal Navigation Systems

Please be aware that Personal Navigation and GPS Systems are NOT permitted onboard any of The Great Escape Charter Company vessels at anytime.

Price Guarantee

Rising fuel prices and increased costs can sometime mean an increased holiday cost, however we guarantee that once your full fare has been received by The Great Escape Charter Company there will be no increase in the cost of your Escape. We will absorb any increase. So book and pay as early as possible to guarantee your price. Should fuel prices continue to rise, the prices will be adjusted to reflect this change, except where full prepayment has been received prior to the price increases.

Liability

This section defines The Great Escape Charter Company’s responsibility with respect to all of our cruises. Please read this section carefully:

The Great Escape Charter Company provide adventure travel holidays. The nature of the cruises offered means that in some places and under some circumstances passengers may face some physical discomfort and even danger. As an adventure holiday there are risks involved and it is expected that passengers accept and understand that these risks are part of each cruise.

Management and staff of The Great Escape Charter Company will undertake every possible precaution. The owners and employees assume no responsibility for acts of God, illness, accidents, death or any property damage and/or loss incurred by a passenger in the course of the cruise.

The Great Escape Charter Company is unable to take responsibility for any action on behalf of other carriers that may result in passengers failing to meet the conditions set down for any cruise.
